My interest in radio started at 13 years old when I took my first trip to New York City. My adventurous mother entered my brother and I in the first ever texting competition. I beat 200 competitors by accurately typing phrases the fastest. In 2007 texting was still up and coming and it was amazing to be a part of a phenomenon that has changed the way we communicate. After being crowned America's fastest texter, I went on every possible radio show to tell my story. I loved that thousands of people were hearing my voice and connecting with my story even though I was in the small town of Claysburg, Pennsylvania. I worked directly with the marketing representative who organized the competition and realized that marketing is the field that I would excel in.
I attended Penn State Altoona and got my Associates degree in Business Administration and I plan on enrolling at Penn State's World Campus to finish my bachelor's degree in Marketing. After living in Altoona for a few years, I decided to change things up and move to Florida for a fresh start. This is when my life changed in the best way possible because it led to me having my two wonderful children. Braxton (five years) and Emmitt (five months) bring me more happiness than I ever knew was possible. Although being a young mom presents its own challenges, my kids make me work hard and appreciate my crazy life. Whenever Braxton starting getting closer to school age I realized that I wanted my kids to grow up in Pennsylvania and experience the same things I did. We visited Bloomsburg in 2015 and were impressed by the schools and all the activities for children. People say that I'm crazy for leaving Florida but I think there's no greater place than the “only town in Pennsylvania.”
