The Town of Bloomsburg will be honoring Florence Thompson this morning with an official plaque unveiling at the Patterson Drive Recycling Center. Florence was the driving force in making Bloomsburg the first community in Pennsylvania to set up a curbside recycling program. Ceremonies get under way at 11 AM.
The Legion Riders of the Bloomsburg American Legion will hold their second annual Flapjack Breakfast at Applebee's on Route 11 from 8 - 10 this morning. Tickets at the door are $7.50 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12. All proceeds will benefit Legion programs for veterans and current members of the armed services.
