Come Celebrate Berwick with the Front Street Festival today from 11 AM - 5 PM. There will be sidewalk sales, wine tastings, food and craft vendors, a car show, family games and much more going on across town. For a full schedule of events, check out the Celebrate Berwick page on Facebook.

Don't miss the annual Bloomsburg YMCA indoor yard sale this morning from 6:30 AM - 1 PM. Find lots of items from appliances, to furniture, to clothing. The Y is on West 7th Street, in Bloomsburg.


The annual Bloomsburg Fireman's Carnival wraps up this evening at the Department headquarters at 911 Market Street. There will be rides, games, plenty of food and live music. 


Fill a bag and feed families this Saturday. The US Post Office is holding a Stamp Out Hunger food drive this weekend. All you have to do is fill a bag with non-perishable food items and leave it by your mailbox for your carrier to pick up on Saturday. Please, no glass containers. 


The Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble presents "Good People," running through May 25. The show is full of humor, pathos, and suspense, takes a look at the class system still present in today's America, and will make you ask yourself, "what makes some people Good People?" The Boondockers 4x4 club is holding a mud bog today at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds starting at 11 AM. Registration will be open from 7 - 10 AM. Cost is $20 per run. All proceeds go to local charities. There will be plenty of food on hand. Please do not bring any alcohol, grills, or pets.


The Town of Bloomsburg will be honoring Florence Thompson this morning with an official plaque unveiling at the Patterson Drive Recycling Center. Florence was the driving force in making Bloomsburg the first community in Pennsylvania to set up a curbside recycling program. Ceremonies get under way at 11 AM.


The Legion Riders of the Bloomsburg American Legion will hold their second annual Flapjack Breakfast at Applebee's on Route 11 from 8 - 10 this morning. Tickets at the door are $7.50 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12.  All proceeds will benefit Legion programs for veterans and current members of the armed services.


Good Wil's Restaurant on Route 11 in Northumberland is hosting a classic car cruise-in this evening. There will be live music from 3 - 6 PM and plenty of food and home made ice cream.


The Benton British Car Club will meet this Sunday afternoon  at 3 PM at Strevig's Family Restaurant on Route 487 in Benton. Anyone who owns a British-made car is invited to attend.


The Community Singers will present a salute to American composers on Monday, May 12. The concert starts at 7 PM at St. Peter's UMC at 240 Sunbury Road in Riverside.


The Book Buddies - Bella, Chloe, and Reilly - are back at the Bloomsburg Public Library this Tuesday night at 6:30 PM. They're therapy dogs who love to listen to your kids practice their read-aloud skills. Bring a favorite book, or pick one from the Library collection. The Library is on Market Street in downtown Bloomsburg.


Catch an encore performance of the original student production, "We Are Berwick" this Tuesday at 6 PM in the Berwick Middle School cafeteria. The play is written and performed by Berwick area students, and takes a look at the city's reputation in light of the growing methamphetamine problem in the region.

Bring your dogs and cats to the Locust Township Police Station on Saturday the 17th for a Rabies clinic sponsored by the Locust Township Police and the Ringown Valley Veterinary Hospital. Registration opens on Monday the 19th for summer programs at the Bloomsburg Public Library. Children up to age 14 are invited to sign up for the summer reading club and the Great 8 - a program designed to combat academic slide during the summer.
