A reminder for this weekend that Montour County has issued an outdoor burn ban. A first offense carries a fine of $100. The ban will be in effect for 30 days.
It's Block Party weekend on and around the campus of Bloomsburg University. If you are driving through the campus and student housing areas be cautious and aware of pdestrians - there are certain to be lots of students out walking around this weekend.

Swing by Bear Chrysler Dodge Jeep on Route 11 in Berwick this morning for a meet and greet with local Olympian Jason Terdiman. From 9 AM - 2 PM, Jason will be on hand to sign autographs and talk about his experiences as an Olympic athlete. Also check out the Olympic suits and real luge sled. A portion of all vehicle sales during the event at Bear CDJ will go toward the Terdiman Fund.
Mostly Mutts no-kill animal shelter is holding a doggie biscuit hunt today from 11 AM - 2 PM at Sunlight Feed and Pet Supply on Route 11 east of Bloomsburg. All dogs participating must be on a leash and up-to-date on their shots. There will be goodie bags for every dog and prizes. A $5 donation for the event is suggested.
