There were two District 4 high school basketball teams still in the state playoff quarterfinal games Friday night at Hazleton Area High School. In the first game the Saint John Neumann boys team beats New Hope Academy 78-68 in a Class A quarterfinal. In a girls AA game Friday night Mount Carmel fell to Dunmore 58-21.
According to ESPN's Adam Shefter, former Southern Columbia star Henry Hynoski has agreed to return to the New York Giants on a one year deal worth one million dollars. As a free agent, Hynoski had visited the Detroit Lions but chose to come back to New York where he has played for the first three seasons of his NFL career.
