It's a busy day at the Bloomsburg Public Library today. It's the 125th anniversary of the founding of the library! Festivities kick off at 10 AM with a Chololate Frenzy Coffeehouse and music by Jeff Eichner. At Noon, it's the premiere performance of BTE's newest Theater In The Classroom, The Amazing Mr. Franklin -or- Ben There, Done That, a dramatization of the astounding true story of Benjamin Franklin, a man with the super-power of Curiosity. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The library is on Market Street in Bloomsburg. Head to First Reformed United Church of Christ this morning at 10 AM for a free couponing class, and learn how “Couponing Makes Cents.” Feel free to bring a donation of soda tabs, soup labels, nonperishable food, or personal hygene products. The church is at 2nd and Vine Streets in Berwick.
The Montour-DeLong Fair Association is hosting another all-you-can-eat haddock dinner this evening from 3-7 PM at the Fairgrounds on Broadway Road in Danville. The Columbia-Montour Chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International will hold a meeting this morning at 10 AM at the Spirit Life Church, 1338 Old Berwick Rd., Bloomsburg. There will be a beneft lasagna dinner and chinese auction at the Millville Grange on State Street this afternoon, in memory of Brentlee Jackson Fritz, starting at 2 PM. Dinner is $10 for adults, $7.50 for children 5-12, and free for kids under 5. Tickets for the auction are $1 each or 6 for $5. Proceeds benefit the Children's Miracle Network.
Have some fun at Bloom Bounce -for Kidsburg- this weekend at the Columbia Mall. Today and tomorrow, 50% of admissions to Bloom Bounce will be donated to the Kidsburg rebuilding effort. Boys HS Basketball
The Central Columbia boys were at home Friday night against Shikellamy in a District 4 Class AAA quarterfinal game. Central took Shik to a 50-33 win that took shape in the last quarter. Central moves into the District 4 AAA semifinals next week.
In their final road games of the regular season, the Bloomsburg University Men's and Women's basketball teams were at Mansfield on Saturday. The Women won handily 63-55.
