BTE's TreeFest opens again this weekend, and December 6, 7, & 8th at the Caldwell Consistory, Main & Market streets in downtown Bloomsburg. Come and see the decorated trees, hear some music, check out some local artisans and help suppourt your local theatre troupe! Admission is $6 for adults. Children 12 and under get in free.
Visit Downtown Bloomsburg and Santa Claus at Santa's Cottage through December 22nd. Santa's Cottage is located on the corner of Main Street and Lightstreet at the Bloomsburg Diner and will be open on Thursday and Friday's 6 til 8pm and Saturday and Sunday's 2 til 4pm.

The Unityville Community Volunteer Fire Company will be serving their 54th annual Buckwheat Cakes and Sausage Supper from 'til 9 pm tonight; all-you-can-eat, 24 hours a day! No one leaves feeling hungry. The Fire Company is on Log Cabin Road in Unityville.
The Luzerne County Community College center in Berwick is sponsering a community food drive today at the Homestead Furniture Building in Nescopeck. The drive runs from 9am - 6pm.
Wesley United Methodist Church is hosting The Advent of Jesus Christ with Carols of Christmas, Christmas music and fellowship this afternoon, 2 pm til 4 pm. An offering will be taken up to help to support Agape's heating Assistance Fund. The Church is located at Third and Market Streets in Bloomsburg.
The Danville Stadium Council is hosting the Trans-Siberian Orchestra inspired group, Twelve-Twenty Four at the Danville Middle School tonight at 6 pm. Tickets are 25 dollars at the door with proceeds benefiting the Danville Stadium Council Track and Turf project.
Liberty Township Fire Company in Mooresburg is serving an all-you-can-eat Breakfast and Brunch today, from 7 am until 1 pm. Price is $8 for adults and only $4 for kids. All proceeds will benefit the Fire Company.
Fabulous Felines has a Vera Bradley Bingo this afternoon to benefit the cat rescue and adoption group. The bingo will be held at the Bloomsburg Fire Department on Market Street. Doors open at 12:30 pm, games begin at 2 pm. Cost is $20 for 20 games. There will be food and drinks available for purchase and there will also be a raffle, Chinese auction, and 50/50 drawing.
Don't forget to place your order for the 2013 Historic Bloomsburg Collector's Crock, featuring the Columbia County Courthouse. You can print out an order form from BloomsburgPL.org, or stop by the Library on Market Street. There are still some of the 2012 crocks left too! Crocks are $40 each - 100% of the proceeds from the Collectors Crocks goes to the Bloomsburg Public Library.
The Kozy Kids winter wear donation drive is under way. Donations of hats, gloves and scarves will be distributed to children in our local commuinity this winter. Donation boxes can be found at AGAPE, New Covenant Christian Church, the Berwick United Way, the Hope Center, First Columbia Bank in the Buckhorn Wal-Mart, and at My Town in the Columbia Mall.
The Roaring Creek Valley Grange # 2041 in Numidia is holding a gift card christmas bingo this afternoon. Doors open at 11:30, bingo starts at 1 pm. There will be food, a raffle, and door prizes. Part of the proceeds from the evening will benefit the locate food bank.

Berwick HS Football
The Berwick High School football team will go to the state semifinals for the first time since 2004. Friday night the Bulldogs trounced Clearfield 44-7 in a Class AAA state quarterfinal at Central Mountain High School in Mill Hall. Berwick remains unbeaten going into the Semifinals against Archbishop Wood, who beat Academy Park 42-12 Friday night.
It was a rematch for the Bloomsburg University football team on Saturday as they faced West Chester in an NCAA regional quarterfinal at Danny Hale Field at Redman Stadium. Bloomsburg never gave up, but the Huskies ultimately could not overcome the Rams, West Chester winning 40-38. BU ends with the highest-scoring season in school history. West Chester will move on to play Shepherd in the next round of playoffs.

The Bloomsburg University Women's basketball team beat Goldy-Beacom Sunday afternoon 60-48. Both Huskies teams next play Cheyney at the Nelson Field House on Wednesday night.
