The Southern Columbia girls' soccer team lost their bid for the Class A state championship in Hershey Friday evening. They were defeated by defending champions Greensburg Central Catholic. Southern Columbia had a 1-0 lead going into halftime, But Greensburg came back in the second half to make the final 2-1 in Greensburg's favor.
In Friday night High School Football playoff action on News Radio 930 Danville hosted Loyalsock. Loysock was leading 21-7 going into halftime. Danville came back to win the very close game 28-21. With their win they will host Troy next Friday night.
The Bulldogs continue their post-season run as they defeated Abington Heights Saturday afternoon. The final was Berwick 35, Abington 28.
Southern Columbia bolstered their playoff run as they beat South Williamsport on Saturday night by a score of 47-21.
In Huskies college ball Saturday afternoon, Bloomsburg University defeated Slippery Rock 35-28 in front of a wild crowd as BU claimed the PSAC Championship title for the first time since 1985. The winning touchdown came from MVP Franklyn Quiteh with 27 seconds to go in the game. The NCAA will announce the teams in this year's Division II playoffs on Sunday afternoon.
The Huskies Men's team beat Lincoln University Saturday night in a game at the Nelson Field House. The Final score was 89-79 in double-overtime. In Huskies Women's basketball BU beat Wilmington 105-69.
