This year's Veteran’s Day Parade is this morning. It forms at the Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital parking lot and moves at 10am, down Lightstreet Road to Main Street, south on Market Street, ending at the Fire Hall with a short program and meal.
It's the Community Market and Starving Artists' Breakfast this morning at the Moose Exchange on Main Street in Bloomsburg. Stop by for coffee, some baked goods, produce, and other handmade goods from local producers. The Market is open from 9am - 1pm.
The St. Cyril Basket Bonanza is today at St. Cyril school gym, 580 Railroad Street in Danville. Doors open at 11 am. Drawing begins at 1 pm. Tickets for baskets must be entered before 1 pm. and are available at the door. There will be over 30 themed baskets a 50/50 - and there will be food.
The Danville Area Community Center presents their 17th annual 5k run/walk today. Registration is from 7:00 to 8:30 am and the race starts at 9am.
The Bloomsburg University Players present "Avenue Q" at the Alvina Krause theater this weekend. Showtimes are at 7:30pm tonight and 3pm Sunday afternoon.
Central Susquehanna Sight Services is hosting a car raffle. They’re giving a way a 2013 Honda Insight hybrid, with 40 second prizes valued at $100. You can get tickets now for the November 14th drawing. Raffle tickets are a donation of $15.00 per ticket. Tickets are available at Bloom Vision and The Albertson Eye Care Center.
High School Football
High school football's postseason playoffs began Friday night. In our Game of the Week, Defending District 4 AA champion Danville staved off Lewisburg in a quarterfinal game that ended 23-6.
In a District 4 Class A semifinal heard on Classic Rock 103.5, Southern Columbia beat Bloomsburg 49-14.
Saturday afternoon Berwick edged past Crestwood 14-13 in a District 2 AAA Semifinal.
In college football Saturday, Bloomsburg University defeated previously unbeaten West Chester 31-28. Bloomsburg goes on to play Slippery Rock in the PSAC Championship.

The Bloomsburg University Men's basketball team fell to Chestnut Hill in their season opener Friday night 68-62. On Saturday the Women won their match against Chestnut Hill 97-57.
