The sound of snow shovels is what we heard a lot of over the weekend... only hours after the latest storm flew over us... dumping less than two inches of snow in Bloomsburg. Some hilly area's received more... folks living in the valley's getting less. Whatever the case.... the weekend sunshine melted most of the snow.

Now that Governor Corbett has unveiled his proposed 28 – point – four billion dollar budget for th 2013 – 2014 fiscal year.... it's up to the house and senate appropriations committee to do it's work.
That means weeks of hearings with department heads. But one of the major issues is pension reform... and State Representative David Millard of Mt. Pleasant Township says we've reached a crossroads.
If State Senator Daylin Leach of suburban Philadelphia gets his way... Pennsylvania would become the next state to legalize marijuana. He plans to introduce legislation this week in Harrisburg to decriminalize the use of marijuana for any purpose in Pennsylvania. Leach hopes to end what he calls the "prohibition" of marijuana and treat it the same as certain types of alcohol - regulated by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.
Wilkes – Barre police have arrested three people after they allegedly stole copper from a home. The incident happened at the start of the weekend. In the Luzerne County Correctional facility are Kevin Atkinson and Michael Sczyrek, both of Nanticoke... and Elizabeth Lynch of Blakeslee.
One man and a juvenile are in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility after they surrendered to Wilkes – Barre police over the weekend. 18 – year old Quincy Michael Patrick of Larksville is facing a long list of charges stemming from a series of armed robberies. A companion... a 16 – year old juvenile is also facing a list of charges as well. The robberies took place from January 20th through the 22nd.
