Today is Ground Hog’s Day…and there are a couple of events going on to mark the occasion today. Take your Children to the Children’s Museum to get their picture taken with their resident stuffed groundhog, make shadow portraits, shadow puppets and more. The museum is open until 4:00 PM this afternoon.
The Moose Exchange invites you to “Come See Your Shadow” this afternoon from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. The Moose Exchange now owns their own building, and today is a celebration. They’ll have the jazz trio “So What”, artwork by exchange tenants, a silent auction, food and drink, tours of the building, and free bowling. The Moose Exchange is located in Downtown Bloomsburg.
The Berwick Area United Way is hosting a walk for warmth today at the Salem Elementary Track. Prizes will be awarded for individuals and teams with the most miles walked and most money raised. Hot drinks and snacks will be provided.
The free Saturday Trains Program at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church is open today as usual. The church is located at the corner of Pine and East Market Streets in Danville.
St. Paul’s Church of Berwick is hosting a craft and vendor show today…there’s a Chinese auction, baked goods, and food.
The Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble presents their adaptation of William Shakespeare’s “As You Like It” tonight at the Alvina Krause Theatre in Downtown Bloomsburg. The show features a local Indie Rock Band. Showtime is 7:30 PM tonight.
The Church of Saint Joseph in Berwick is having a food sale this weekend…they’re selling porkette with rolls, Italian wedding soup, and fireball sandwiches. Pick up is from 3:00 to 6:00 PM today and tomorrow from 8:30 AM to Noon.
The Liberty Township Fire Company in Mooresburg will serve an all-you-can-eat breakfast and brunch tomorrow. The meal is ham, scrapple, sausage gravy and biscuits, home fries, pancakes, macaroni and cheese, and more. Cost is $8.00 for you, $4.00 for your children…and all proceeds benefit the Liberty Township Fire Company.
