The Free Saturday Trains Program at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church in Danville is open as usual today. They have dozens of trains for you and your kids to play with including the talking train. The church is located at the corner of Pine and East Market Streets in Danville.


Coming up next weekend the Loose Ties Model Railroad Club will open their huge display of trains at the Columbia Mall...


Going on at the Columbia Mall today is a blood drive from Noon to 5:00 PM. Their next blood drive is coming up Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.


The Bloomsburg Area YMCA will open their ice skating rink this weekend. It's going to be open from Noon to 4:00 PM today and tomorrow.


Today is the day that the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble is hosting a community meet up to find people to participate in “Flood Stories, Too.” That meet up is at the Alvina Krause Theatre in Downtown Bloomsburg...go to to get details on that.


The Children's Museum invites your kids out to learn about birds today. Your kids will get to make gifts for backyard birds while learning about them. Receive a dollar off of admission for wearing a shirt with birds on it. The Children's Museum is open until 4:00 PM, and is located on West 7th Street in Bloomsburg.


Next week, Columbia Montour Vo Tech Alumni will meet on Tuesday at 6:30 PM at the room #114, the school's gym lobby.


The Bloomsburg Public Library will host Socrates Cafe on Tuesday night at 6:30 PM. This month they are tackling the question “How Do We Achieve Happiness.” If you're up for a discussion on the topic join the group at the library on Market Street in Bloomsburg.


And on Thursday the Bloomsburg Public Library will host their Twelfth Night celebration with stories, songs, and a craft project starting at 6:30 PM.


Kidsburg is hosting Winter Wednesday's this Month at Balzanos. They hope you'll dine at the restaurant any Wednesday this month as a portion of proceeds from your meal will help to rebuild the Kidsburg playground of Bloomsburg Town Park that was lost in the 2011 flood.


All this month the Women's Center is hosting a cell phone drive for local domestic violence programs. Phones will be used as emergency 911 phones or recycled through the Shelter Alliance Program. Drop off your unused, unwanted, or broke phones at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, The Berwick YMCA, Grove Presbyterian Church in Danville, The Bloomsburg Public Library, or the Thomas Beaver Free Library in Danville.

BU Basketball

It was a battle of nationally ranked women's college basketball teams Friday night in Erie when Bloomsburg University, ranked 22nd took on 8th ranked Gannon in a game that ended in a 72-68 Gannon victory. Gannon swept the evening, winning the Men's match 81-55.


Saturday night, the Huskies played at Mercyhurst. The Women won their game 78-55. The Men lost 65-52. Listen to the details from this weekend's action with Jim Doyle in the WHLM Husky Post Game Report:
