This afternoon it’s your last chance to see the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble’s performance of “A Christmas Carol.” Showtime is at 2:00 PM at the Alvina Krause Theatre in Downtown Bloomsburg. Box office number is 784-8181.
The Free Saturday Trains program at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church is open today. They have their talking train with dozens of other trains you and children can play with. Over 1,000 icicle lights decorate the display now. The church is located at the corner of Pine and East Market Streets in Danville.
On Monday there are trains at the Columbia Mall. The Wheel Chair Engineers train program will be open from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. It’s a wheel chair accessible layout…and features the new Dillon Floral limited-edition train with puffing MTH steam engine. It’s at the Sears end of the Columbia Mall.
Singles Meeting Singles has a New Years Eve party planned at the Columbia Valley Moose in Bloomsburg. Tickets are $15.00. For more information contact Mary Lou at 204-7563.
The Bloomsburg Area YMCA has their New Years Eve 5K Run/Walk planned to start at 7:00 PM. Race day registration is at the YMCA from 5:00 to 6:45 PM. The course travels through Main Street in Bloomsburg this year.
From the WHLM Future File on the Community Calendar for 2013 is the first meeting of La Leche League in the New Year this Thursday at 7:30 PM at St. Lukes Lutheran Church on Lightstreet Road in Bloomsburg.
Next weekend the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble is hosting a second community cast meet-up for Flood Stories, Too. If you’re interested in being a part of the performance plan to be at the theatre next Saturday at 10:00 AM.
And also on the January Calendar is the annual Trash To Treasure Yard Sale Saturday January 19th to benefit the Columbia County United Way happening Bloomsburg University.
Boy's HS Basketball Tournament
The Southern Columbia boys will host a Holiday Tournament starting Friday night. In the first game at 6 O'clock.... Milton fell to North Schuylkill 50-46.
