Millville Death
An autopsy will be preformed on a Millville man found dead in a school bus parking lot at the start of the weekend. Authorities said 57 – year old Julian Bixler didn't have any signs of foul play... and had been suffering from health issues for some time. Bixler's body was found by a school bus driver and her young son who had just completed her afternoon route.
PPL Unit 1
A shut down of unit two at the PPL Susquehanna Steam Electric plant in Salem Township... north of Berwick. It happened early Sunday morning when the unit automatically shut down during routine testing of a valve on the unit's main turbine system. PPL spokesman Joe Scopelliti says all systems responded as expected... and the reactor is in a safe and stable condition. Unit 1 continues to produce power... and is no way effected by the shutdown of Unit 2.
Kiddie Porn Suspect
The case of a 27 – year old Hazleton man... accused of downloading and viewing kiddie porn.. is headed to Luzerne County Court. Jhow Calderon faces a long list of charges following his arrest last month. Calderon and a second man... arrested at the same time... remain in the Luzerne County Prison.
