Town Hill United Methodist Church is celebrating their anniversary this morning and invite you out for gospel music at 9:00 AM.

 

It's gift card bingo today...it's 20 games for $20.00, and each game has a $100 gift card prize. Games start at 2:00 PM at the Bloomsburg Fire Hall.

 

Bloomsburg University Community Orchestra has a performance this afternoon at 2:30 PM in Mitrani Hall on the BU Campus.


Wesley United Methodist Church invites you to a handbell concert this afternoon at 3:00 PM.

 

Benton British Cars is meeting today at 3:00 PM at Strevigs Restaurant in Benton.

 

The Skate Park of Bloomsburg is proud to bring the only Central Pennsylvania screening of “The Bones Brigade” today at 3:00 PM. Tickets are $10, and all proceeds go to re-build the Bloomsburg Skate Park fund.

 

Catawissa First United Methodist Church is hosting a hymn sing today at 3:00 PM...there is no charge.

 

The annual Night of Giving at the Columbia Mall is happening tonight starting at 6:00 PM to benefit the National Lung Cancer Partnership.

 

And coming up on Tuesday night at Berwick High School there will be a drug and gang awareness event being organized by Columbia County Commissioner David Kovach. It's in the Berwick High School Cafeteria from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday night.

HS Football

The Bloomsburg High School football team tried to avenge their season-opening loss as they played South Williamsport in the first round of D4 Class A playoffs Friday. The Panthers were unable to pull out the win; the final was 32-16 South Williamsport.  In the other Class A semifinal, Southern Columbia remains unbeaten with a 28-21 win against Line Mountain. In the District 4 Class AA playoffs Friday night, Danville beat Loyalsock 31-6 and Central Columbia fell to Mount Carmel 17-0.

 

Saturday's Game

Saturday afternoon at Crispin Field, Berwick played Dallas in a District 2 Class AAA semifinal. Berwick took the victory in that game 21-7. They will face Abington Heights in the Final.

 

BU Football

In college football Saturday Bloomsburg University ended the regular season with a 49-41 win at Slippery Rock, a game the Huskies needed to clinch an NCAA playoff spot.

BU Basketball

The Bloomsburg University Women's basketball team opened the season Friday afternoon against Chestnut Hill at Nelson Field House. The Huskies took a decisive 84-54 win in that game.
