The Columbia County Volunteers in Medicine Free Clinic hope you’ll join them today at the Berwick High School Track for “100 Miles to Save Lives.” They're walking from 1:00 to 5:00 PM hoping to reach their 100 mile goal. Entertainment will be provided by Mike Lewis and the Jeff Gray Band.
Tomorrow, Grove Presbyterian Church in Danville will host an evening of music, sharing and healing at 7:00 PM. Award winning artist Alan Pedersen will perform original songs geared toward overcoming personal grief and loss.
Tuesday the Columbia County Historical and Genealogical Society will host a training session for volunteers from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at their location in the Bloomsburg Public Library.
Volunteers are needed for the American Cancer Society “Road To Recovery” program, and they’re planning a training session for Thursday at 10:00 AM at their office in Selinsgrove.
The candidates in the 109th District of the PA State House will participate in a forum on Thursday at 7:00 PM at the Central Columbia High School Auditorium. Questions will be presented to each candidate with a fixed length of time for response. There is no charge for the event.

The 31st annual Covered Bridge and Arts Festival is happening next Thursday through Sunday at Knoebels, and the 3rd annual Twin Covered Bridges Arts festival is next Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the twin bridges in Forks.

A match up of unbeaten teams highlights this weekend's high school football schedule. Danville and Central Columbia, both 4-0, met Friday night at Central in our game of the week. Central Columbia remained the unbeaten victor with a 21-7 win against Danville.
Berwick and Selinsgrove held eachother to a low scoring game that ended in a 17-7 Berwick victory.
In other action Friday night Southern Columbia trounced previously unbeaten Muncy 47-7, and Bloomsburg beat Montgomery 48-21.

In college football Saturday, the unbeaten Huskies of Bloomsburg University stayed unbeaten, beating Gannon at Redman Stadium 43-24.
