Labor Day

Activated Alarm
Berwick firemen were called out around 7 O'clock this morning for an activated fire alarm at Wise Foods on Rasley Street. No fire was found... and all the apparatus stayed in quarters.
Fire Folo
Fire investigators in Berwick say a blaze which extensively damaged a two story home in the 500 block of West Front Street is suspicious. Those investigators spent the weekend trying to determine the fire's exact cause.

A tough Sunday for the Phil's as they lose to the Atlanta Braves. Jonathan Papelbon served up a three – run walk – off home run to Chipper Jones in the ninth inning.
