Today is the last chance to be a part of the fun in Millville at the Firemen's Carnival. There's rides and food...including the popular caramel corn. “Alive and Well” will take the stage at 7:30 pm. The carnival wraps up tonight with a gigantic fireworks display at midnight.
The free Saturday trains program at Christ Memorial Episcopal church will be open from 10:00 am to noon. The display features the talking train and dozens of other trains you and your kids can play with. Your kids can enter the coloring contest to win one of ten handmade wooden steam engine whistles. The church is located at the corner of Pine and East Market Streets in Danville.
The Columbia Mall is hosting a weekend blood drive from noon to 5:00 pm today. On Monday there are blood drives happening at Wesley United Methodist Church in Bloomsburg and Emmanuel Bible Chapel in Berwick. The BBC, or Benton British Cars, will meet tomorrow at Strevigs Family Restaurant at 3:00 pm. All British cars are welcome, and if you have one they're hoping you'll join them. The group has monthly meetings, tech sessions, casual drives, spares & sharing shows, and also offers tuning, repairs and rebuilding help. The restaurant is located on Route 487 in Benton.
First Baptist Church will hold their vacation bible school this Sunday through next Friday from 6:00 to 8:30 pm each night. Your kids ages 4 years through 6th grade are invited. This year's theme is Amazing Wonders Aviation. The church is located on Brookside Drive in Danville.
On Tuesday the Bloomsburg Public Library summer reading club welcomes Scott Atherton for a native American tale at 9:30 AM. There will be a craft project and music for your kids.
Tuesday concerts in the park continue in Danville Memorial Park with “Van Wagner” this week at 7:00 pm.
The Catawissa Summer Breeze Concert series has “The Blind Chitlin Kahunas” on stage for rhythm and blues night Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. The concert is going to be in Wolfgang Park on Main Street in Catawissa.
The Bloomsburg Town Park summer concert series continues on Wednesday with “Country Memories” from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, and in Berwick on Thursday it's the oldies band “The Legends” at 7:00 pm at the Jackson Mansion.
