Road Update

Route 487 northbound is open from Elysburg to Ashton Hollow Road . Route 487 southbound is closed from Catawissa to Ashton Hollow Road. Traffic for Knoebel's must use Route 487 northbound. PennDOT crews are working Monday to repair and reopen the closed sections of Routes 487 and 42 in Columbia County. Additional equipment is being brought in from other areas to assist the flood-recovery effort. It is anticipated that Route 42 may be repaired sufficiently to allow reopening the road sometime Monday night. Route 487 may remain closed into Tuesday or Wednesday due to the extent of damage.
