It's the annual Renaissance Jamboree in Downtown Bloomsburg today. Main Street is filled with crafters, food vendors, and live entertainment. Proceeds from the day will help non-profit organizations in our area. Make sure to stop by the WHLM booth at the Iron Street stage say hello, and check out the scarves and hats we have for sale to benefit the Bloomsburg Public Library.


The Orangeville Public Library invites you to meet local author Becky Westover today to discuss her family adventure book, “The Fireplace.”


Bloomsburg Christian Church's free library grand opening is today. The library features over 1,000 works of fiction, children and teen books, non-fiction, videos, dvds, and more. The library will be open to the public every Wednesday from 10:00 am to 7:30 PM after this weekend.


The Saturday trains program at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church in Danville is open today.


Local police departments and the Columbia County Conservation District are taking back unwanted prescription medications today until 2:00 pm. You can drop off your unused medication for safe disposal with no questions asked at the following departments: Bloomsburg, Berwick, Catawissa, Locust Township, and South Centre Township.


The Pennsylvania SPCA Danville Shelter is holding a community open house today from noon to 4:00 pm. They have lots of activities planned for your family to enjoy.


St. James Lutheran Church in Hobbie is serving up a family style roast beef dinner today from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.


Town hill United Methodist Church invites you out to an ice cream social this afternoon from 4:30 to 6:30 pm.


There's another All You Can Eat Haddock Fish dinner at the Montour Delong Fairgrounds located on Broadway Road in Danville. Serving is from 3:00 to 7:00.


The Animal Resource Center is hosting their annual night of “Wine and Music” tonight at Spyglass Ridge Winery. It starts at 6:00 PM.


The Bloomsburg University concert choir spring concert is tonight at 7:30 PM at First Presbyterian Church on Market Street in Bloomsburg.


The Hetlerville United Methodist Church is hosting a hymn sing tomorrow night at 7:00 pm. They'll have light refreshments.


The Northern Columbia Community and Cultural Center in Benton will host an art exhibit reception tomorrow afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00. The oil paintings of 11 local artists are now on display at the center.


And, the Bloomsburg University Division of Theatre and Dance invites you to their 2nd annual Repertory Ensemble Dance Minor Concert tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 and Monday night at 7:30. It's in the Hass Center for the Arts on the BU Campus, and admission is free.


WHLM Sports

Football fans got a springtime taste of Gridiron action Saturday afternoon when the BU Huskies played their annual Maroon and Gold game. The winning side was the Gold, by 23-6. Before the game, the field at Redman Stadium was christened Danny Hale Field in honor of the Huskies' 20-year Head Coach.
