The Bloomsburg High School Drama Department presents “Beauty and the Beast” at the Caldwell Consistory this afternoon at 1:00 PM and tonight at 7:30 PM. They’ll have a special meal before this afternoon’s performance featuring characters from the play.
At Central Columbia High School the drama department presents “Grease” this weekend. You can catch that performance at 7:00 PM tonight and at 2:00 PM tomorrow afternoon. Tickets are $8.00 for adults, and $6.00 for students grades K to 12.
Coming up next weekend…it’s the opening of the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble’s latest performance…the comedy “Murder at the Howard Johnson’s.” Performances begin Thursday night with the special “Pay What You Wish Night.”
The Children’s Museum in Bloomsburg invites you and your kids out today for Book Day. Your kids’ can explore literacy stations, make a bookmark, and listen to short stories. The Children’s Museum is located on West 7th Street in Bloomsburg.
The free Saturday trains program at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church in Danville is open as usual today with their talking train…and dozens of trains for you and your kids to play with.
Today is Columbia Montour Vo Tech’s annual spring craft show from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The school is located in Bloomsburg, one mile from the I-80 Route 11 junction at the Lime Ridge exit…there will be signs to follow.
Tomorrow, Fabulous Felines Cat Rescue invites you out to their Vera Bradley Purse Bingo at the Bloomsburg Fire Hall. Doors open at 12:30 PM and bingo starts at 2:00 PM. They’ll have a Chinese auction, raffles, and refreshments. Tickets are twenty dollars for twenty games, and proceeds benefit the cat rescue.
The Mount Carmel Lions Club is hosting their semi-annual all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner tomorrow. Serving starts at 11:30 am and ends at 2:00 pm. Take-outs will be available, and meals are $7.00 for adults, and $5.00 for children. It’s happening at the Mount Carmel Elks on North Oak Street.
The Bloomsburg University women's basketball team made it to the PSAC Championship game for only the second time ever Saturday night. The Huskies fought hard but were overcome by defending champions Edinboro. The final was Edinboro 74 - Bloomsburg 58. High School Basketball
In high school basketball, the Danville boys and girls basketball teams played District 4 Class AAA championship games Friday night. The Danville girls lost to Shamokin 34-31. The boys beat Shikellamy 62-36.
