High School Basketball
Both the Danville boys and girls basketball teams played at Shikellamy High School on Friday night as playoffs continue on WHLM. The Danville girls beat Montoursville 43-34 and will go on to face Athens. In the boys game Danville's Andrew Andreychik was fouled with .3 seconds remaining and the score tied. He sank the first of his two foul shots for the 31-30 win. Danville will next play Shikellamy in the District Final. They defeated Selinsgrove in their game Friday 36-34.
Saturday afternoon in a D4 AA boys quarterfinal it was Southern Columbia over East Juniata 65-46.
The Bloomsburg University men's and women's basketball teams closed out their regular season at home against Millersville on Saturday. The Women won decisively 73-60. The Men barely held on to their lead after a furious end to their game, winning 72-71. You can hear the details with Jim Doyle in the WHLM Husky Post Game Report:
