The Columbia County United Way Trash to Treasure sale is happening today at the Kehr Union Multicultural center on the BU campus. The sale includes computers, furniture, electronics, and household appliances. All proceeds benefit the Columbia County United Way.
The Friends of the Bloomsburg Public library book sale continues today. The sale will also be open Monday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
The McBride Memorial Library in Berwick is hosting a book sale until 1:00 pm this afternoon. The library is located at 500 North Market Street in Berwick.
Christ Memorial Episcopal Church will host the free Saturday trains program today. The display features the new talking train and dozens of other trains to play with. The church is located at the corner of Pine and East Market Streets in Danville.
The Bloomsburg Area YMCA invites you to check out their brand new ice skating rink this afternoon. The open house is scheduled for noon to 4:00 pm. You can skate for free and enjoy some hot chocolate. You’ll have to bring your own skates, and children ages 10 and younger must have a parent with them. The Y is located on 7th Street in Bloomsburg.
Columbia County Christian School invites you to their winter “Seussival” carnival today. The Dr. Seuss themed day includes games, food, prizes, and fun. The school is located on Schoolhouse Road in Buckhorn. Snow date is next Saturday.
Shiloh Bible Church presents Gospel Bond in concert tonight at 7:00 PM. A free will offering will be taken. The church is in Bloomsburg.
The Southern Columbia Music Department will host a gift card bingo tomorrow in the high school cafeteria. Doors open at 11:30 am and games begin at 1:00 pm.
In Boys' High School basketball Friday night, Bloomsburg defeated Sullivan County in a game heard on Newsradio 930. The final was 61-55 Bloomsburg.
The weather this weekend has meant cancellation for some sporting events. Central Columbia's Girls Youth Basketball has been postponed until Feb. 5th, and Millville Elementary Boys' and Girls' basketball for Saturday has been cancelled.
In College basketball Saturday afternoon, the Huskies of BU had a rough time on the road at West Chester. The Women's team lost 79-65. The Men lost their game 70-64. Listen to the details with Jim Doyle in the WHLM Husky Post Game Report:
