The final registration for the Bloomsburg Little League is today from 9:00 am to noon at the Moose Exchange in Downtown Bloomsburg. If your child is a new player, then you will need a birth certificate.
As usual the free Saturday trains program at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church in Danville is open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The church is located at the corner of Pine and East Market Streets in Danville.
The Loose Ties Model Railroad Club will open up their huge display of trains at the Columbia Mall today from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and tomorrow from Noon to 4:00 pm. The display features more than 60 trains and 10,00 feet of track.
The Bloomsburg University Huskies for the Community hope you’ll join them today at the Huskies Men’s and Women’s Basketball games at no charge. The wrestling match against Pitt is open to the community tomorrow at no charges as well.
The Bloomsburg Fire Department invites you to their monthly all-you-can eat breakfast buffet tomorrow from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The Potts Grove Fire Company is also serving up their monthly all-you-can eat breakfast buffet tomorrow from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm. The fire hall is located off Route 6642 between Danville and Milton.
The Maria Assunta Society on Monroe Street in Berwick will host a spaghetti benefit dinner for Joe “Buzz” Difebo tomorrow from noon to 3:00 pm. There will also be a Chinese auction, bake sale, and 50/50.
Bloomsburg High School is the place for bingo tomorrow. It’s a Pampered Chef, Twenty-One, and Lia Sophia bingo. Tickets are $20.00 for twenty games, and doors open at noon. Proceeds benefit two Camp Victory and Special Olympic families in our area.
Bloomsburg University Basketball
The Huskies were back at the Nelson Field House on Saturday in their first home stand since December for a pair of games against the Wolves of Cheyney University. Both BU teams dominated in their games. The Women won 77-50. The Men won 83-61. You can hear the details from the day's games with Jim Doyle in the WHLM Husky Post Game Report:
