Millville Road Fatal
A 20 – year old Orangeville man is dead following a violent crash Sunday night in the 500 block of Millville Road near Kressler's Garage. Bloomsburg Police tell us Colton Eyer was trapped in his burning car briefly but was freed and taken to an ambulance... and pronounced dead a short time later. An accident re-construction team spent most of the overnight hours trying to figure out what happened.
Flood Meeting
We'll be getting an update on flood recovery during a meeting to be held Monday night at the Bloomsburg Christian Church. The session is being organized by faith – based AGAPE who acted as a volunteer clearing house for flood recovery. Tonight's meeting takes place at the Bloomsburg Christian Church on Dussen Drive... just off Route 11 west of Bloomsburg.
Farm Show
It was a busy opening weekend at the 96th annual Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg. Before the show is over next Saturday... an estimated 400,000 people are expected to come through the doors of the 1 – million square foot farm show complex. That makes Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett pretty happy. Corbett and Pennsylvania Agriculture Secretary Charles Greig toured the exhibition on the opening day. The show runs through Saturday. Admission is free, but there is a $10 parking fee.
Wheelchair Engineers
It's a labor of love for Bob Bomboy... and his organization called the Wheelchair Engineers at the Columbia Mall in Buckhorn. Wheelchair Engineers is located in a vacant store space in the mall... so says Bomboy... and everyone is welcome... handicapped or not. Bomboy says the three gauge layout is specifically built for handicapped people who are in wheelchairs...and it's an opportunity to get out and mingle with like – minded folks. The display is open every Monday afternoon at 3 O'clock at the Columbia Mall.
Luzerne County
Still no decision as to who will become the first – ever Luzerne County Manager after home rule charter took effect last week. There are five finalists for the position. Also to be decided... whether the eleven member county council will change a $121 – million budget agreed to late last month by the former three – member commission. The new council have until mid-February to make any changes.

Former Southern Columbia star Henry Hynoski was on the winning side in the first playoff game of his NFL career. Hynoski and the New York Giants beat Atlanta 24 -to- 2 Sunday. They will play the NFC's top seeded Green Bay Packers next weekend.
Denver / Pittsburgh
In the other NFL playoff game Sunday, Denver defeated Pittsburgh 29 -to- 23 in overtime.
College Football
In college football Monday night, the Division one national championship will be on the line when LSU takes on Alabama in New Orleans.
