The Bloomsburg Area YMCA presents the 10th annual New Years Eve 5K tonight. The walk/run takes off at 7:00 PM from the YMCA.
The Saturday morning free trains program at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church is open today from 10:00 am to noon. They’ll feature their brand new ‘talking train’ the brand new Amtrak “Pennsylvanian.” The church is located at the corner of Pine and East Market Streets in Danville.
On Monday the free Wheelchair Engineers train program will be open at the Columbia Mall from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Master Craftsman Earl Wagner is helping children and adults enlarge the layout.
On Tuesday the Bloomsburg Public Library will host Come Knit With Me, a gathering for both novice and experienced knitters. Socrates Café will also be held at the library on Tuesday at 6:30 PM. This month’s discussion topic is “What Shall We Talk About in 2011.” The library is located on Market Street in Bloomsburg.
The Central Pennsylvania Historic Preservation group is holding a snowman quilt raffle. Tickets are $2.00 each or three for $5.00. The drawing is coming up on January 19th. For tickets call 356-7346.
The Central Columbia baseball coaches and players will offer at 10-week baseball clinic on Sundays in January, February, and March. Registration deadline is coming up on Wednesday.
The Bloomsburg Public Library invites you out to say goodbye to Christmas on Thursday at the annual twelfth night program. There will be stories, live music, and a craft project. Your good listeners ages three and up are invited to drop by at 6:30 PM.
