Local police departments and the Columbia County Conservation district will be taking back unwanted prescription drugs today from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Drop off your old medications, no questions asked, at the Millville, Berwick, Catawissa Borough, or Locust Township police departments.
There is a fall craft festival and Bloomsburg benefit happening today at the Marketplace at 10th Street Plaza. There are over 50 vendors scheduled. With a Chinese auction and 50/50 to benefit the Bloomsburg Fire Company, and a canned food tower will be built for the Bloomsburg Food cupboard.
Flood victims can pick up furniture and infant and toddler items today from 10:00 to 2:00 at Freedom Hall at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds.

Bloomsburg Midget Football teams are coming together as a family to support and help their teammates whose families have lost in the flood of 2011 with a Chinese basket raffle and spaghetti dinner this afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Serving is from 4:00 to 9:00 PM at Trinity United Church of Christ on 7th Street in Bloomsburg.
Local churches in Danville will host a progressive dinner to benefit the Danville American Red Cross and Good Samaritan Mission today from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. The meal starts at Trinity Lutheran on East Market Street, moves to Pine Street Lutheran, and ends at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on East Center Street.
Tonight is the 104th annual Catawissa Halloween Parade. The parade starts forming at 6:00 PM and moves at 7:30 PM. Rain date is Sunday.
The Catawissa American Legion Post 541 will host a community Halloween Bash following the Catawissa Parade this evening…with entertainment by “Alive and Well.” The establishment will be non-smoking and there will be a $2.00 cover charge.

Bloomsburg University Flood Buddies will host “Dancin’ In The Dark” tomorrow afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the BU recreation center. It’s a Zumba fitness event, and you’re encouraged to dress in costume. Cost is $10, and proceeds will benefit Bloomsburg families who were affected by the flood.
Lightstreet United Methodist Church will host “Trunk n’ Treat” tomorrow night from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. There will be treats, activities, food and hayrides.
Sweet Valley Church of Christ invites you out to their Harvest Party tomorrow night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the church located in Sweet Valley.
The Bloomsburg University Chamber Orchestra Concert is scheduled for tomorrow night at 2:30 PM at St. Matthew Lutheran Church on North Market Street in Bloomsburg.

In High School Football heard on WHLM AM Friday night, Bloomsburg defeated Danville 28-16. On 103.5 WHLM-FM Berwick beat Coughlin in thir homecoming game 26-21. In other local action Friday night it was Mt. Carmel over Southern Columbia 22-21 and Central Columbia over Warrior Run 35-7.
