Espy Fire Hall in Bloomsburg is hosting a pasta lunch buffet today for Robin Hrinda, a local mother fighting a rare form of breast cancer. The buffet is open from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, meal is $7.00 for you, $5.00 for you children.

The Orangeville Nursing and Rehab Center invites you out to a Vera Bradley Bingo today at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $20.00 with a $5.00 ticket price discount if you donate a 5lb or more bag of dog or cat food. All proceeds benefit the center’s activities department and the Animal Resource Center.

In High School football Friday night, in a game heard on Newsradio 930 Central Columbia fell to Lewisburg in their Homecoming match 28-12. On 103.5 Berwick and Pittston traded blows with Berwick emerging the 42-31 victor. In Pregame ceremonies at Southern Columbia Henry Hynoski's #27 jersey was retired. Hynoski was on hand for the honor and for the 41-0 Southern win over Loyalsock. In other local action Friday, Bloomsburg soundly beat Warrior Run 57-6, and Danville beat Shamokin 42-14.
In College ball Saturday, the Huskies of BU broke the DII record books in coming back from a 35-point deficit against West Chester. Bloomsburg put up 55 consecutive points by the end of the game, the final 55-42. You can hear the details with Jim Doyle in the WHLM Husky Post Game Report:
