Critical Information:


-You can reach the Bloomsburg Medicine Shoppe by calling 784-9582.  Leave a message.


-Mandatory water conservation is in effect in Catawissa Borough.  Only essential use is allowed.


-For non-emergency needs, call the EMA at 389-5738.


-For flood information or to confirm rumors, call 784-6779.  The hotline will be available Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 9pm.


-For those evacuated by the ammonia leak, Bloomsburg Mayor Dan Knorr said he expected those people to be allowed back by Monday.


-United Water will contact anyone whose phone number they have when water once again becomes available in Bloomsburg.  If United Water does not have your number, and you would like to be contacted, call 1-888-299-8972.


-For Fernville residents…residents will be allowed access by Creek Road from Schoolhouse Road off of Mall Boulevard at an undisclosed time Saturday.  Dusk til dawn curfew is still in effect.  All bridges are currently closed in Hemlock Township until they can be inspected.  Port-a-Potties and food tents are expected to be available by Sunday.


-If you’d like to offer help or assistance to the Fernville area, contact the Hemlock Township Municipal Building at 784-6178 or 336-7297.


-Water Buffaloes are available in the Bloomsburg area at the following locations:  Central Columbia High School, 7th Street in front of the Bloomsburg YMCA, Columbia County Prison, TPC Power Center (Route 11), Bloomsburg Memorial Elementary School, and the Columbia County Courthouse.


-Shelters have been set up at several locations in the area…major shelters included the Bloomsburg Memorial Elementary School, Berwick High School, and Danville High School.


-Montour Township residents can get bottled water and MRES at the township fire hall, but there is a very limited supply. There are also two water buffaloes at the township building. The 24 hour flood information hotline for Montour township is 784-4222.
