Danville survived what looked to be a close matchup with Loyalsock this week, beating the team 20-6. Cale Rice stepped up big on defense with four interceptions on the night, including three in the first quarter alone. Danville was unable to produce points off those turnovers early on, but used good special teams, including a 41 yard field goal by sophomore Shayne Riley to put pressure on a lackluster Loyalsock squad. Fullback Sam Dressler grinded down the defense for 121 yards on 21 carries, including a 13 yard touchdown run. Danville is now looking ahead to their next opponent, Shamokin, for their second consecutive away game.
